Myntra launches campaign to promote the first season of ‘Big Fashion Gig’

Bangalore, April 5, 2017: Myntra today kicked off a special campaign to promote Big Fashion Gig – The country’s first mega fashion extravaganza, and launched two television commercials as part of the ongoing promotions. The campaign calls upon fashionistas to try out the latest products, styles and designs from over 1500 domestic and international brands, with access to over 3 lakh curated styles

The firstedition of Myntra’s Big Fashion Gig, scheduled to be held between the 8th and10th of April, is a doorway to accessing the upcoming spring summer collectionof top global brands, some of which are exclusive to Myntra and Jabong. The 20second TVC’s articulate the significance of the mega event through a stimulatingnarrative, where a person undergoes a delightful fashion makeover, personallyassisted by a celebrity and one where a young Bollywood actress is seen tryingout multiple outfits, embolden, as she prepares for her gig at a studio.

In the firstTVC, We see a beautiful girl preparing herself backstage, playing withdrumsticks and tapping to a rhythm. She is none other than Saba Azad, who isseen exploring multiple outfits as she gets into the mood, preparing for hergig. She then emerges, looking stunning as she sets out confidently to performon stage.   

In thesecond film, donning the role of a personal assistant to a young man, isBollywood actor Kunal Kapoor. A visibly displeased young man is seen sitting onhis bike in his garage preparing to leave. Actor Kunal Kapoor comes into viewat this point and engages the young man with Mortal Kombat like poses, flingingclothes and accessories at him with each move, which the young man adornsinstantly. After a thrilling display of passion, the two men bow to each otherlike martial art fighters and settle down with a guitar and some dancing by theyoung man.
